Tongue-twister from Brendel

Hi again from Belarus!
Let me take you to a place you probably can’t say the name of…
I think some of the kids in this school will make you smile.

Thanks for journeying with us!

New Thing by the numbers

Greetings from Minsk!

I’ve arrived at Karl Marx Street safe and sound.

First stop: our “Response of the Heart” office, for an “official” meeting with “The Great Kozovaya” (humblest woman on the planet) and her team.

Their report on 2014 was GREAT:

We brought nearly 184 tons of humanitarian aid in 18 separate loads from 4 countries with a total value of $210,000.

We helped 5,517 families and 63 organizations and institutions, including shelters for abused and abandoned children, orphanages, hospitals, boarding schools for children with specific disabilities, and more.

Thank you to everyone who gave so generously in 2014 toward this work of compassion in the former USSR.

Next up: the children’s shelter at Zhodino. Photos to come!

Much love,

Doug Brendel
